Personal projects - UI/UX design
The following are my personal projects. Some of them are my own product ideas. Some of them are inspired by the great works of fellow designers.
Calendar app
A calendar app concept. I wanted to work on a scenario where the user might want to move a schedule by a week or two. The idea was to create a interactive solution and to make the process simple and intuitive for the user. I also wanted to address some of the features that I wanted in the calendar apps that I use everyday. I added a feature of creating groups and show these groups upfront to the user. Using this feature the user can quickly schedule a meeting with the group instead of trying to remember everyone's name or email id every time they want to schedule a meeting or a call. I also added a small personalized card on the top which presents information in a quick glance. I designed the visuals in Adobe XD and animated the interactions in After effects.
Micro interaction - Download
A simple micro interaction concept animation for a download button. The idea was to keep the user informed by showing relevant details about the download and do it in a fun and interactive way and to add useful call to actions post download complete. I designed the visuals in Adobe XD and animated the interactions in After effects.
Micro interaction - Delete files
A concept for minimalistic file manager app and file deleting micro interaction. The idea for the app was to keep it simple and accessible to the user. I wanted the animation to be simple, functional and keep the user informed. The files being deleted are shown in the background and post deletion the user is presented with CTA's which are contextual to the actions performed. I designed the visuals in Adobe XD and animated the interactions in After effects.
AR street view
A simple to use concept AR app which enables the user to rent homes, find restaurants, attractions, places and lot more using the AR capabilities of Google maps. The user just has to scan the locale and the suggestions are shown in real time. The user can explore the locale and find more information about the places they are interested in. The app also allows the user to navigate to their place of interest in real time using the AR capabilities. This project was inspired by Google Maps AR feature. I designed the visuals in Adobe XD and animated the interactions in After effects.
Micro interaction - Page Refresh
A short micro interaction for refreshing a photo gallery app. I wanted to create a loader/page refresh which is inline with what the app is. I initially tried doing a full page loader animation and realized that by doing so I miss the opportunity to show the user the new images loading into the page. So the idea later evolved into keeping it simple and functional in the same time keeping it inline with what the app is. So I made use of the logo along with some simple flashes to indicate the loading and also show the users the loading of new images so that the user is always in the context as to what is happening on the app for the action they performed. This micro interaction is completely a working, interactive prototype made in Adobe XD and not animated using after effects.
Iceland Travel app
A concept travel app for Iceland. The app has curated collection of interesting places to visit, places to eat, plan a trip and activities to do in Iceland. This UI interaction is completely a working, interactive prototype made in Adobe XD and not animated using after effects.
Cook up
A concept recipe app which is more of a community of food lovers and people who love to cook. Here the user can check out trending recipes of the day and also find recipes which is has a key ingredient in them. The app also allows the user to try out recipes from various cuisines as will. This UI interaction is completely a working, interactive prototype made in Adobe XD and not animated using after effects.
Drone shot
A concept application for drone photography enthusiasts. Now a days due to the advent of drones we see beautiful aerial photography but do not know where these photos were taken. Using Drone shots, users can explore beautiful drone photography and get the details of their locations from various countries and travel to these locations using the application to capture these beautiful sights. I designed the visuals in Adobe XD and animated the interactions in After effects.
Vacation app
A vacation app concept design with some simple micro interaction. This app provides a customized experience to the user and tailors the vacation according to the users taste. I went with a minimalistic look for the app and wanted to highlight the key points about the vacation to the user. The header animations are done using shape layers in after effects and can be easily used in live app using lottie. I designed the visuals in Adobe XD and animated the interactions in After effects.
Food bowl - Dashboard
A concept dashboard for a restaurant. Mainly to be used by the manager or expediter. They can monitor who is working on which dish, number of plates ordered and the time left for preparation. They can also check out the tables available and up-coming reservation along with other features.
Game launcher
A concept game launcher. Its a hybrid of a game launcher and a streaming platform. A one stop shop for all gamer to come together and enjoy everything related to gaming. Watch live game streaming, play online games, there is also a leader board to keep track of all your in-game achievements and progress, view events and collaborate with friends.
Food delivery app
A concept food delivery app design. The app provides a personalized experience to the user based on their purchase pattern and preferences. The app also provides a curated menu to the user based on the time of the day.
